About Boukates

My story begins as a young girl playing in my parent’s garden. My appreciation for the intricacies and varieties of flowers, plants and herbs grew as I did. Years later, I began learning the art of floral design from some of the South’s finest teachers and designers. After honing my craft, I established Boukates in 2007. As a city dweller these days, I am constantly reminiscing with those early days of seemingly endless gardens. That inspiration and the knowledge and skills I’ve accumulated are what I bring to you and your event. I’d relish the opportunity to hear your story and design something memorable for you.

Responsible Design
In my perfect world, I would have a plot of land to grow the flowers I use so that I know they’ve been grown 100 percent organically. Currently, I’m restricted to my patio herb garden, so until that day comes, I’ll be making strides to reduce the footprint left by my work. About me

My name is Katie Wilson Loyd and I live with my wonderful husband and adorably gray cat in the city of Atlanta. I am a native Atlantan and a graduate of Georgia State University. In our spare time you will most likely find us hunting for treasures at Atlanta’s antique and farmer’s markets, relaxing near the Georgia coast or lending a hand to the green spaces around the city.
